Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tesla Energy Tracker collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use teslaenergytracker.com.

Summary: We use Tesla-authorized energy information to provide the reports you request. We do not receive your Tesla password, sell Tesla account or energy information, or keep copies of downloaded reports.

Information you authorize through Tesla

When you connect an account, Tesla may provide OAuth access and refresh tokens, a regional API address, energy-product identifiers, site configuration, live energy status, energy history, backup events, and compatible charging information. The exact information depends on your products, permissions, and Tesla's response.

Information we do not receive

Your Tesla password is entered directly on Tesla's website and is not provided to Tesla Energy Tracker. The application does not request vehicle command or vehicle-location scopes.

How information is used

Authorized information is used to authenticate requests, display the selected site's current status, create requested reports, provide downloads, maintain security, diagnose errors, and comply with legal obligations.

OAuth session storage and retention

Access and refresh tokens are stored in an encrypted server-side session using authenticated encryption. A random signed session identifier is stored in a Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite cookie. The encrypted session expires no later than 30 days after authorization and is deleted sooner when you select Disconnect. Expired session files are removed by the application.

Energy data and reports

Energy and site information is requested from Tesla when you use the dashboard. The application does not maintain a historical database of that information. PDF, CSV, and JSON reports are generated on demand and streamed to your device; the service does not keep a report archive.

Server and security information

The hosting provider may process standard web-server information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser type, and error information for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. Retention of infrastructure logs may be controlled by the hosting provider.

Advertising and cookies

The service may use Google AdSense or another advertising provider. Advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers to deliver, measure, limit, and personalize advertising where permitted. Google and its partners may serve ads based on visits to this and other websites. You can manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings.

Where legally required, a consent-management platform will request choices before advertising or analytics technologies are activated. Tesla account and energy information is not sold and is not intentionally provided to advertisers for ad targeting.

Sharing

Information may be processed by Tesla to provide Fleet API responses, by the hosting provider to operate the service, by advertising or consent providers as described above, or when required by law. We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

You may disconnect the browser session, revoke third-party access through Tesla, manage advertising consent where available, and request deletion assistance. See Data Deletion.

Children

This service is not directed to children under 13 and is intended for adults authorized to access the connected Tesla energy account.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service, advertising providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
