Does this site see my Tesla password?
No. Sign-in occurs on Tesla's authorization website. Tesla Energy Tracker receives authorization tokens after you approve access, not your password.
What access does the application request?
The application requests sign-in, offline access needed to maintain a session, and Tesla energy-device data. It does not request vehicle commands or vehicle-location access.
Which products are supported?
Available information depends on the energy products and capabilities Tesla returns for your account. Typical information may include Powerwall, solar, home load, grid flow, backup events, and compatible charging history.
What is the difference between PDF, CSV, and JSON?
PDF is a polished report for reading or printing. CSV opens in spreadsheet applications. JSON is the most direct structured representation of the response and is useful for developers or archiving.
Why are longer Energy reports summarized?
Tesla may provide readings at frequent intervals. Weekly, monthly, yearly, or lifetime reports can contain too many rows to be practical, so the PDF summarizes those readings into daily or monthly totals.
Does the service retain my downloaded reports?
No. Reports are generated in response to your request and streamed to your browser. The application does not keep a report archive.
How long does the connection last?
The encrypted OAuth session is retained for no more than 30 days after authorization unless you disconnect sooner.
How do I remove access?
Choose Disconnect on the dashboard and revoke the third-party application through Tesla if you want to prevent future authorization. Detailed steps are on the Data Deletion page.
Is this an official Tesla website?
No. Tesla Energy Tracker is an independent third-party application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc.
Why might information be unavailable?
Availability can be affected by product capabilities, Tesla service availability, authorization scopes, regional routing, rate limits, or temporary network conditions.
